Colorado State freshman quarterback Garrett Grayson is going to get an opportunity to play. The question is how much and when. With starter Pete Thomas nursing a sprained knee, Grayson could conceivably start Saturday against TCU.

Even if Thomas plays, coach Steve Fairchild has indicated that Grayson is going to play some in each game the rest of the way. Grayson has created some buzz in the Rams camp and there are those who'd like to see him get a chance. That chance could be a starting gig Saturday -- or simply some playing time the rest of the way.
