Toledo quarterback Austin Dantin (concussion) is considered day-to-day and his status for Friday's game at Ball State won't be known until later in the week. "He’ll be practicing out there, but of course we’re not going to put him back out there [in a game] with the concussion symptoms,” coach Tim Beckman said. “He just didn’t progress [last week] the way that was necessary. We ended up holding him out of Wednesday’s practice [because] he was having some minor headaches, and we decided we weren’t going to push it.”
If Dantin can't go, Terrence Owens will get the start and becomes a good sleeper fantasy play. However, if Dantin plays, the two will likely split snaps, making Owens a high risk/high reward option.
