USF didn't decide on a starting quarterback until after kickoff, sending Bobby Eveld out in place of the injured B.J. Daniels. Eveld threw for 210 yards and a touchdown (one interception), and there were issues with missed reads for the sophomore as well.
Daniels could be back for their game Thursday against West Virginia, and with bowl eligibility on the line, it's likely that Skip Holtz will want his junior out on the field if he can go.
