A vintage Tim Jefferson sighting appeared Saturday as the veteran Air Force quarterback revved up the passing game. Jefferson rushed four times for 38 yards, but it was through the air that he did the most damage, connecting on 9-of-12 passes for 221 yards and three scores in the win over Colorado State.
All three of his scoring strikes came in the second quarter and covered 33, 40 and 50 yards to Zach Kauth. It was a nice day for Jefferson, but something of a bittersweet reminder of how he could have played all year long.
