Illinois has hired Tim Beckman as their next head football coach. Beckman was 21-16 in the last three seasons at Toledo.
Beckman will not coach the Rockets in the Millitary Bowl against Air Force. And interim head coach Vic Koening is expected to coach the Illini in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against UCLA.
