There have been quite a few names associated with the Fresno State head coaching position but it appears Texas A&M defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter has been chosen to be the heir to Pat Hill

I am always a fan of hiring defensive-minded coaches and DeRuyter had lots of success at Air Force and at times with the Aggies.  The defense in the Valley has been atrocious for years so he will have a rebuilding project on that side of the ball, but there is plenty of offensive talent to build around in Derek Carr, Robbie Rouse, and Jalen Saunders.
