Miami wide receiver Allen Hurns recently had surgery on his injured shoulder, and though no time table was officially announced for his return, head coach Al Golden said "the prognisis is great, usually they're out four months."

Golden added that the team would likely "protect him in the spring."  It's not encouraging news for a player who could break out in the 'Canes depleted receiving corp. Phillip Dorsett should be locked in as the "sleeper" of this group heading towards 2012, and any freshmen on campus next semester will have ample chances to emerge quickly.
