Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas was named a Football Writers Association of America first-team freshman All-American. Thomas was a revelation as a receiver, running back and return man during his opening campaign for the Ducks.

For the season, Thomas caught 46 passes, second on the team, nine of which went for touchdowns. He rushed 55 times for 595 yards and generally kept defensive coordinators up at night wondering how to deal with his speed. With LaMichael James off to the NFL, expect Thomas to see the ball more in 2012.
