If Chip Kelly should leave Oregon, Boise State's Chris Petersen is said to be one of the targets the Ducks will look at. According to Oregonian columnist John Canzano, an Oregon athletic department source who is close to the negotiations, said that Petersen, Tony Dungy and Jeff Tedford are three names that have come to the front initially.

It appears there are still things to be hammered out, including the the $3.75 million buyout in Kelly's contract. Should Kelly bolt, though, the Ducks, now a very formidable entity in the college football world, can look at some bigger names.
