According to Tom Luicci of the Newark (NJ) Star-Ledger, Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano could be close to accepting the open Tampa Bay position. This comes just a couple days after the Buccaneers were close to hiring Chip Kelly, who ultimately decided to remain at Oregon.
This would be a huge development for the Rutgers program with National Signing Day just six days away. Names being thrown around as possible replacements include Dolphins special teams coach Darren Rizzi and FIU head coach Mario Cristobal.
