Boise St. RB Harper granted sixth year

Boise State running back D.J. Harper has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA. Harper suffered ACL tears in 2009 and 2010, playing in three games each of those seasons. That was apparently enough to get Harper one more year for the Broncos.

Harper should top the depth chart at running back with Doug Martin off to the NFL. Harper has more than 1,600 yards rushing in his career and has shown that he's got plenty of game when he's spelled Martin in the past. A nice bonus for a Boise State offense that's losing its quarterback as well.
