Stanford coach David Shaw said that Ty Montgomery would miss spring practice with a hand injury. Shaw said the Cardinal coaching staff was going to be very cautious with the sophomore receiver.
Montgomery had 24 catches this past season and is being projected as having a much bigger impact on the offense in 2012. There's a chance Montgomery could participate in a limited way this spring, but expect Stanford be be very careful with a guy who has big play capabilities.
