Texas wide receiver Mike Davis shot out of the blocks at the beginning of his collegiate career with a solid freshman season but followed that up with a somewhat disappointing sophomore campaign. This spring Davis has been consistently impressing his coaching staff with his leadership ability and the separation he is getting from coverage.
Davis looks to be David Ash's top target with Jaxon Shipley and Marquise Goodwin also major threats. For the first time since Colt McCoy roamed Austin, the Longhorns should be able to move the ball through the air with some effectiveness.
