One of the most exciting position battles to watch this spring will be in Blacksburg where quite a few guys will try to fill the cleats of David Wilson. Michael Holmes is a favorite after impressing on the scout team last season, but he will be pushed by J.C. Coleman and Daniel Dyer.
Holmes has a natural running style and good size. Dyer is a bit smaller but is compactly built. Coleman was a highly-touted scatback but has some work to do with regards to the nuances of the college game before he can start climbing the depth chart.
