Even without Isaiah Pead, Cincinnati head coach Butch Jones has plenty to be excited about in the Bearcat backfield. Jones recently spoke of Ralph Abernathy saying "He has to be our playmaker, and we’re going to ask so much from him not only in the backfield but on the perimeter."
The Bearcats have plenty of talent alongside Abernathy in George Winn, Jameel Poteat, and Deionte Buckley, but it looks like Abernathy is rapidly ascending the depth chart.
