Boise State was in pads for the first time Friday and returning running back D.J. Harper served notice he's ready to carry the load. Harper rattled off a series of big plays during contact drills. Drew Wright was another back who made some big plays with pads on.
Harper should get ample opportunities to make plays this season for Boise State as the Broncos watched plenty of offensive talent walk out the door after 2011. Sounds as if he's off to a good start this spring.
