While there is no doubt that the Michigan offense will again be led by the electric Denard Robinson, The Detroit News reports that Wolverine OC Al Borges is committed to getting backup QB Devin Gardner on the field as often as possible.

Gardner, a big and talented quarterback, could be used in a myriad of ways. He may not be a battering ram a la Blake Bell, but the possibility of putting him at WR or TE exists, as does splitting Denard out wide a few times each game while Gardner takes shotgun snaps. Either way, with highly-touted freshie Shane Morris arriving in 2013, this is a big year for Gardner as he looks to assume the controls once Denard moves on.
