Dietz likely AF starter, but backup unknown

While nothing definitive has been offered, it would be a shock if Air Force's starting quarterback this fall isn't Connor Dietz, who has had a solid spring. The question, of course, is who backs him up. And that's a question the Falcons didn't answer this spring.

The backup on an option team is vital because the starting quarterback is going to get hit -- a lot. The candidates to back up (or challenge) Dietz into fall are sophomore Kale Pearson, Mitch Griebal, another sophomore, Tucker Tipton and possibly incoming fall freshmen Jaleel Awini and Dano Graves.
