Two of the biggest surprises this spring for San Diego State were at wide receiver, where Tim Vizzi and Jemond Hazely shined brightly. Vizzi, a Wes Welker clone, made plays "every time we scrimmaged," said coach Rocky Long.
With a dozen receivers on the roster heading into the fall, the question will be whether Hazely or Vizzi can carve out a place for themselves in the regular rotation. They made a start this spring, but the fall is where playing time will be awarded.
