Brigham Young quarterback Riley Nelson will not play in Saturday's scrimmage. There's no injury news to report, just a case of the coaching staff feeling it better to keep its starting quarterback out of harm's way.
Due to injury issues this spring, BYU's scrimmage will feature a healthy dose of second-teamers and other youngsters to evaluate for depth purposes. Nelson doesn't have anything to prove to the coaching staff, so having him sit makes sense.
