In its last scrimmage before spring break, Colorado got a standout performance from running back Tony Jones, who continually broke big plays for long gains and scored a pair of touchdowns.
The running game continues to be a point of emphasis for coach Jon Embree in his second spring camp and he pointed to Jones as one player who has really shown consistency and production. Jones could be an interesting running back option come the fall. Colorado desperately wants to run the ball and Jones will get plenty of opportunities.
