In his first scrimmage as the starting quarterback for LSU, Zach Mettenberger showed everyone what they had been looking to see. Mettenberger threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns on 16-of-25 passing.
As good as the Tigers were last year with an abysmal passing attack, they should be much more balanced and able to put up points this season. Consider Mettenberger a sleeper option at this point with the potential to go for nearly 3,000 yards and mid-20s in touchdowns.
