Though California WR Keenan Allen will miss spring drills after undergoing a March 8 procedure on his ankle, he thinks his absence will help quarterback Zach Maynard. His absence, Allen said, will force Maynard to find other receivers to throw to, making the passing game more diverse moving forward.
Allen also lauded the contributions receiver coach Wes Chandler has made in his first two months on the job. Allen said Chandler is very hands on and has done a great job of teaching in the film room and on the field.
