While it is doubtful that one guy will replace the production of departed Western Kentucky running back Bobby Rainey, head coach Willie Taggart has identified John Evans, Keshawn Simpson, and Antonio Andrews as three who have stepped up this spring.

Simpson is the biggest of the backs but is likely to see more situational carries.  Andrews has seen time at wide receiver and running back but has the best combination of size and speed in the Hilltopper backfield and therefore is the most likely candidate to replace Rainey.
