York could take stress of Utes White

The Utah coaching staff is hoping that JC transfer Kelvin York can take some of the load off last year's JC revelation at running back, John White IV. White carried more than 300 times, a number that coach Kyle Whittingham said was probably more than they should have handed White the ball.

York, at 5-11, 235, is much more of a power back than White, but he originally committed to USC out of high school before having a productive career at Fullerton College. He's coming off a season where knee surgery limited him to five games, but the Utah coaching staff feel he's the guy who could keep White fresher in 2012.
