Jeff Tuel so-so in first scrimmage

Washington State quarterback Jeff Tuel had an up-and-down day in the team's first scrimmage throwing for 95 yards and two touchdowns while also tossing a few picks.  Connor Halliday did not participate as he is steal healing up from a liver-injuring hit.

Tuel is getting valuable reps in and even though he threw some passes to the wrong side of the team, he did complete 11-of-17 passes.  It is still too early to declare a winner, but whoever claims the starting job is an instant fantasy star.
