Cal's Anderson dislocates thumb

California running back C.J. Anderson dislocated his thumb during Saturday's scrimmage and could miss the Golden Bears' final six spring practices.

Tedford said the injury happened during a tackling drill before the scrimmage and called the injury "pretty ugly." Anderson is the primary backup for Isi Sofele and figures to get his hands on the ball plenty this fall.
