Even though a winner has yet to be named, Iowa State quarterback Steele Jantz took the victory over Jared Barnett in Iowa State's spring game. Barnett completed just 11-of-21 passes for 67 yards and two picks while Jantz engineered 161 yards while completing 20-of-32 passes. Barnett did show off his wheels, rushing for 54 yards.
As it stands now, this battle will continue into the fall with the winner being worth a roster spot in deeper BCS leagues.
