Joe Southwick appears to be the leader in the clubhouse to be Boise State's starting quarterback. Southwick had a solid outing Saturday in the team's spring game, tossing an 18-yard scoring pass on fourth-and-four to give his team the win. Overall, he was 14-of-19 for 145 yards and the game-winning score.
Coach Chris Petersen said it was a good situation for Southwick to prove himself in. Though nothing definitive has come from the staff, it just seems Southwick has the lead in the QB derby heading into the summer.
