USM scrimmage sheds some light

At the end of the Southern Miss spring game, at least three positions clarified their leaders.  At quarterback it looks like the starting job is leaning towards Chris Campbell who completed 12-of-18 passes for 167 yards and a score.  The top receiver, Tracy Lampley, pulled in four of those for 90 yards.  On the ground, Desmond Johnson led with 36 yards and two scores.

We were spoiled to have Austin Davis for so long but now it is Campbell's turn.  While he is relatively unproven, he does have some solid playmakers around him like Johnson and Lampley.
