Texas A&M quarterback Jameill Showers showed more poise and a stronger arm than main competitor Johnny Manziel in the team's first scrimmage. Showers finished with 150 yards passing, two touchdowns, and an interception.
Showers was the backup for Ryan Tannehill last year and has the inside track at this point. If he wins out he will have a tough test starting in the SEC but will have Christine Michael to hand the ball off to and Ryan Swope to catch his passes.
