Oregon State redshirt freshman receiver Richard Mullaney continues to raise eyebrows for the Beavers. The 6-1, 190-pounder out of California set a state record in 2010 with 122 catches. After a reluctant redshirt season, Mullaney is reaping the rewards of getting acclimated to the grind of major college football.
With only Markus Wheaton a "known" quantity for the Beavers receiving corps, why not a guy like Mullaney, who coach Mike Riley has raved about so far in spring practice. He's one of the youngsters, so things could change, but he's pushed himself into the conversation this spring.
