Last season the UConn Huskies played several quarterbacks and never really settled on one, but that could change this fall.  Junior college transfer Chandler Whitmer has impressed all spring and culminated it all by completing 18-of-27 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns in the spring game.

Whitmer will not light up the stat sheet, but if the Huskies can take to the air with a bit more efficiency than last season (which isn't saying much), then that will help the breakout of running back Lyle McCombs.
