The second scrimmage of the spring yielded one unnerving thread for Rutgers: poor quarterback play. Much like the first scrimmage, quarterbacks Chas Dodd and Gary Nova struggled which, in turn, caused tailbacks Savon Huggins and Jawan Jamison to get bottled up.
If one of the quarterbacks can step it up, there is a wealth of big and speedy receivers to throw to as well as stout ground gainers. But unless Nova or Dodd grab the job, we may see similar offensive struggles from last season.
