Dominique Whaley won't be ready for spring

Oklahoma running back Dominique Whaley (ankle) will not participate in spring practice in March. The coaching staff hopes Whaley can return for August camp. Receiver Jaz Reynolds (kidney) may also be out.

Is it coincidence that the Sooners signed JUCO running back Damien Williams on Wednesday?
